TXP Technology

The structure of the TXP framework allows for the rapid development of applications that run on any Windows platform. Agent Studio™, from which Agentek developed objects that utilize the TXP framework, is a one tier development environment architecture where the remote device is a thick client on an extremely small footprint possessing an SQL-compliant database and all the business intelligence to operate when disconnected from the backend. Security of All Data

Agentek solutions employ standard AES 256-bit encryption with elliptical curve key generation to encrypt and secure data throughout the information lifecycle for all transmitted and stored data. For added security of server operating systems, Agentek solutions are compatible with leading antivirus solutions and software-based firewalls.

No Retransmission

Normally, with other technologies, if a connection is lost during a file transfer, the file transfer must resume at the beginning once the connection is restored. That is not the case with TXP, the system remembers which packets have been transferred and can pick up where it left off a second, minute, or a month later - saving time and bandwidth.

Synchronous Transmission

To be able to send and receive at the same time is a true advantage over normal communication technologies. With TXP a large file can be sent to a remote client while that client is sending and receiving data based on priority. This allows, for example, the user to function normally while files are invisibly transferred to his/her remote device.

Remote Debug Capabilities

Both the backend and remote device have the ability to automatically track each keystroke, event, error (both system and application), and programmer defined trace. This is a very powerful feature for quickly spotting and resolving even the most elusive issue.

Built in VPN

TXP acts as a VPN conduit that connects clients securely and reliably over public and private networks.

Asset Management

Full user-configurable asset management capabilities are included with every system. For example, the application version, the Agent Studio version, the Windows OS version etc. can be tracked and correlated to device serial number, user ID, or any group, even device type if desired. Reports can be generated as desired allowing full management, and with Agent Scripting™, our remote update provisioning tool, full control of all assets.

End User Access to Code

Agentek provides a mechanism, if desired, that allows full customer control and alteration of the application source code.

Alerts

Customizable Alerts as to status, server, or remote client condition, can be transmitted to remote helpdesk via email, fax, messaging etc.

Load Balancing

Agent Studio utilizes advanced load balancing capabilities as part of its TXP investment. Should a particular server be impacted by a surge of additional traffic, multiple CPUs (including servers and PCs) are called into service based on business rules specified by the customer.

File Transfer

The same TXP technology that allows compressed messages to transfer extremely quickly and securely has been extended to apply to a straight transfer of files. As with messages discussed previously, if the users experience a disconnect in the middle of a transmission, the file will pick up where it left off and continue the transfer when a connection is reestablished.

Over the Air Provisioning and Remote Updates

Updates to the handheld operating system, system settings and application code are handled by Agent Scripting™, a powerful tool that enables authorized users to send software/hardware updates to remote devices with no user interaction.

The device management is controlled by the administrators and provides a great deal of flexibility in the distribution of remote updates. Updates can be transported to a single user, group of users either in real time or at a scheduled time. Successful completion alerts and version tracking for each mobile device is all part of this powerful technology.

Multi-Site Failover and Redundancy

The Agentek Distributed Network (ADN) is an automated integrated stateless system of role-independent, load-balancing servers designed to provide full redundancy in the event of failure of any one mission-critical component of the network. It is a superior network solution, where all calls are stored in multiple databases constantly updated in real-time throughout the distributed network. The state of the entire solution is not maintained in memory allowing each server to act in multiple roles at the same time.

Combine this functionality with the fact that the ADN can be installed in multiple geographic locations and use any number of servers in each location and a fully redundant load-balanced system is realized.

Minimal Infrastructure

The Agentek solution is capable of supporting thousands of mobile users on only two standard servers - with little, if any, impact on the network. There is no need to create an extensive infrastructure in order to support your mobile workforce. Our proven TXP technology allows the deployment of an entire fieldforce with little to no infrastructure upgrade costs.
